The vertical incubators are equipped with 4, 8 or 16 drawers for 50,000, 100,000 or 200,000 eggs. They are manufactured from non-toxic, stable plastic material, and the system comprises an aluminium framework and all accessories.

The piped water (in excess of 3 litres per minute) flows into the access funnel of the top drawer, covers the eggs resting on the grating, then overflows on the front side by means of a side channel into the next department, where the same process repeats itself until all the departments are treated. Without disturbing the other drawers, every drawer can be individually drawn out on its runners for inspection purposes. The incubators offer optimal conditions from hatching through to active feeding.
